Ashley Gavin is a stand up comic based in New York. Sometimes referred to as “the lesbian in plaid”, or as she puts it “The Plaid-Breasted Lesbird”. Ashley has headlined, featured, and hosted around New York City, LA, and Boston at clubs and colleges including The Comedy Store, Gotham Comedy Club, The Stand, Stand Up New York, The Comedy Cellar @ The Village Underground, and Laugh Boston. Currently she is a resident comic at Broadway Comedy Club. Comedian Kelly MacFarland (Comedy Central, ABC, CBS) describes Ashley as “super talented” and Veronica Mosey (Comedy Central, The Tonight Show, Comedy Cellar) says that “Ashley Gavin offers audiences a unique perspective on the most controversial of subjects with a like-ability that allows her to get away with it.” Rick Crom (Louie, Chapelle’s Show, Comedy Cellar) has Ashley open for his comedy school students. Ashley is known for her bold, intelligent, and sometimes absurd social commentary on everything from technology to celebrities to sexism in the strangest places. Ashley also sprinkles in personal, biographical stories of growing up gay with a single mother. Ashley’s audiences always laugh hard, learn something new, and leave wanting more.
