Christine is a darkly charming voice from the Boston comedy scene. With winsome understatement, she ropes audiences into her unique frame of mind, where a tragicomic zeitgeist prevails and people know what tragicomic zeitgeist means. Christine’s performances draw on her experiences with the awkwardness of young adulthood, navigating and subverting stereotypes as an Asian American woman, and the possibility of working toward a better self tomorrow, or eventually. Sometimes, Christine plays funny songs on the ukulele. Christine has performed at colleges, the Women in Comedy Festival, the Boston Comedy Festival, the Laugh Riot Grrrl L.A. Comedy Festival, the Boston Comedy Arts Festival, the Chicago Women’s Funny Festival, the Decatur Arts Festival, and shows with the Boston Comedy Chicks. She was the 2013 April Comic-in-Residence at The Comedy Studio in Harvard Square.
