Boston Comedy Festival On Tour
A mixture of witty “A-list material” and his ability to work off-script has earned Jim McCue the title “Boston’s King of Crowd Work!” It’s not only his height of six foot six that makes Jim stand head and shoulders above club comedians of the “stick-to-the-script” variety. Jim blends thought-provoking material and uncanny improv skills with a style that encourages audience participation. No two shows are ever the same! Jim has been featured on Comedy Central, Comcast Comedy Spotlight, NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” and “Roughing It” on NESN in his native New England. Jim also founded and currently runs The Boston Comedy Festival. He works in top comedy clubs in Boston, Las Vegas, New York, Dublin, Montreal, Sydney and Edinburgh. Since 1999 Jim has also entertained U.S. troops at more than 100 bases around the world. An account of his experiences performing for the troops has recently been published in Embedded Comedian which Jim describes as a “field manual for comedians in a war zone.” With his unique act, Jim keeps the audience on its toes. Volleying between set material and working the crowd, Jim cracks jokes with amazing timing and whip-like precision. A unique blend that is sure to leave the audience roaring with laughter!
The World Champion Judah Friedlander
On the comedy stage, Judah Friedlander is The World Champion. He is the best athlete in the world, greatest martial artist, the sexual desire of every woman, and a role model to children. Let’s face it, Judah is the greatest comedian in the world… And the most humble. Judah is an extra-dark blackbelt in karate.
Judah is known to comics & audiences as one of the funniest and most original stand-up comedians. Seeing Judah perform live is always a unique experience. He always has new jokes & he plays off the audience making up jokes on the spot. You will never see Judah do the same show twice. Because Judah is so awesome, he’s also one of the most copied comedians. But a copy is never as good as the original. And no one can top The World Champion.
You can watch Judah as “Frank Rossitano” on the Emmy-winning “30 Rock” every night in syndication & on Comedy Central, as well as in new episodes every Thursday night on NBC. Judah has made multiple hilarious appearances on many late night talk shows including: Letterman, Conan, Fallon & The Daily Show. Judah was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 2003 Independent Spirit Awards for his role in the Sundance-winning “American Splendor”. Some of his other movies include “Meet the Parents”, “Wet Hot American Summer”, “Feast”, “Zoolander”, and “The Wrestler”.
Kevin Meaney
KEVIN MEANEY has been one of the country’s most popular standup comedians for more than 25 years. Tom Shale’s of the Washington Post said, “Picture the precocious love child of Jonathan Winters and Ethel Merman and you have some idea of Kevin Meaney’s act.” Making people laugh has always been a top priority for Kevin. From his early years doing standup comedy in San Francisco and Boston he’s amassed an impressive list of credits along the way. His first HBO special in 1986 catapulted him to the forefront of the comedy scene. In 1987, Kevin made his debut appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and was invited by Johnny to join the guest panel. Since his first appearance, Kevin has returned to the show a dozen times. He was a special guest on Saturday Night Live and has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, Regis, Oprah and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Kevin recently made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and had a guest role on NBC’s 30 Rock.
So, Big Pants People of the world unite… your leader is here, his name is Kevin Meaney and he’s on a mission of mirth.
